The Student Guide was another project I worked on during my internship at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University).
This comprehensive guide provides students with essential information for their time at TMU, covering everything from academic procedures and exam policies to scholarships and campus student groups. It was specifically designed for Graphic Communications Management (GCM) students, featuring updated content from the Summer 2021 semester.
The university provided the text content for the booklet, while I focused on designing the layout to make the information clear and engaging.

Reflection
Although designing the Student Guide was a relatively small part of my assigned tasks during my internship, it provided valuable learning experiences. I gained a deeper understanding of balancing user needs with the creators' intentions. Throughout the design process, I consistently revisited two key questions:
1. How can I make the design engaging enough to keep students interested, even when reading dry academic policies?
2. How can I ensure the design remains professional and appropriate for review by parents and professors?
These guiding questions helped me stay focused and make thoughtful design decisions. This project was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with individuals who had diverse needs and perspectives, and I believe the experience has better equipped me to excel in the fast-paced design industry.
